Vape Shoreditch

I guess this is a little more unusual choice of blog post for me.

I know e-cigarettes have their controversies but I think that it can be a good aid to kick the smoking habit, plus it is cheaper than buying tobacco. Also, the UK government/NHS say it's around 95% less harmful.

I don't personally smoke (my dad smoked rollies for over forty years - I've seen firsthand what it can do to your health) but my boyfriend does.

Obviously I worry about the effect on his health so am keen for him to potentially give the e-cigarettes a try in an attempt to at least cut down (and hopefully quit!!)
One thing I do quite enjoy from time to time is shisha. I know that it has its own health risks so don't do it on a regular basis.

My only gripe I have with shisha is the set up and the fact that I have nearly set my carpet on fire in the process several times.

I was quite keen to give the e-cigarette a try myself. I'd bought an "e-shisha" pen from a dubious shop when I was in the States a couple of years ago and enjoyed the ease of use but worried somewhat about what I was actually inhaling!

This is when Vape Shoreditch comes into play. They approached me to ask if I'd like to try out their products so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

The ease of delivery from Vape Shoreditch was great. I like that, just like my contact lenses, the packaging fits through the letterbox which means no annoying trips to collect stuff from the post office!

I was sent the Shoreditch One style of e-cigarette. I think personally I prefer the slim Shoreditch Two style (I wish it came in black! Goff4lyf!) but I loved the finish on the style I was sent.
It's very sleek unlike some that I have seen with an almost snakeskin look texture. My boyfriend immediately liked it & was eyeing it up!
I like the idea of the counter on the e-cigarette style having a counter on it. I know that one thing people argue about with the e-cigs is a lot of the time people are actually smoking more than they would if they just smoked normal cigarettes as obviously when you smoke a cigarette it ends, so you know how many you've smoked as oppose to taking numerous drags on a never ending e-cig!
A little bit more detail about the liquids. Choosing them I felt like a kid in a sweet shop - almost quite literally (Gummy Bear, anyone?)! There are some really interesting & some quite unusual sounding flavours so I was very keen to give them a go.
I went with peppermint chocolate, peach and Parma violets. I chose the Parma violet flavour for my boyfriend as he's a big fan of them!
The peppermint chocolate flavour liquid was my favourite. Not too sickly (so no headachy feeling like you sometimes get from shisha) and the right about of mint. It was like vaporised after eight mint!

My boyfriend loved the Parma violet one. He said "it was really nice" so consider that a review...!

I’d love to see a grape flavour or cherry/cherry cola as they are both flavours I can’t get enough of.

It's pretty early days to see if it is going to help him to quit but he's been using it indoors in the evening rather than bobbing outside for a fag break which is good. Baby steps!

If you would like to try them out for yourself you can use the following exclusive code to get 3 flavours for 99p! This includes free first class postage so no hidden costs.

I definitely recommend you try the peppermint chocolate flavour!

Unicorn Kigu Funsies AKA Clare did a blog post...

It's been a while, hasn't it...

So anyone who knows me will probably be able to tell you two things about me.

1. I am "nesh"

2. I am rather partial to fancy dress.

From my pirate 21st birthday, Velma from Scooby Doo at Halloween and Wonder Woman to Leeloo from Fifth Element, Alice in Wonderland, Noddy, Ariel the Little Mermaid and everything in between - I love dressing up!

So when I came across this unicorn Kigu from Tickled Pink Fancy Dress shop I almost lost my shit.

Dressing up AND cosy-ness! PRACTICAL FANCY DRESS AND WARM! (Believe me, Ariel at a festival was neither of those...) Especially in this weather. I literally haven't taken it off since I got it and can see myself taking it to festivals with me in the Summer!

Tickled Pink have an amazing range of fancy dress goodies & if you're like me, you should definitely check em out! I am now eyeing up the Princess Leia outfits because, y'know, Star Wars month, innit.

Now, anyone planning a fancy dress party soon? Can I come please??

The Library of Fragrance - Gin & Tonic Cologne Spray Review

So, first off I bloody love gin. Yeah. I said it.

Now that's out of the way, I'll get on with it. When I read the words Gin & Tonic and perfume, I did a little squeal.

I'd heard about some of the more unusual offerings from Library of Fragrance and have always been intrigued to have a niff myself.

This is my first Library of Fragrance perfume and I love it!

They say:

Ah... a G&T. End of the day refreshment, best served strong and sweet with a citrus twist. A light, crisp fragrance with a splash of juniper, our Gin & Tonic fragrance has the power to revitalise at any time, anywhere.

I think that the scent is lovely and fresh. The citrus smell perks you up and doesn't have an artificial scent, like some perfumes do. Perfect for every day wear.

It's not too sweet and would be suitable as a unisex fragrance, which I like.

My brother (also a member of the gin fan club) said it reminded him of a CK perfume he had.

I've read that they're good to mix too to create your own unique fragrance, so I'll definitely be giving that a go & I can't wait to try some of the others now!

Have you tried any of the Library if Fragrance scents before? What is your favourite?
