Hyper Japan 2012 & Tofu Cute!

This weekend I am travelling down to London for the day to go to Hyper Japan.

Hyper Japan is the UK's biggest celebration of Japanese culture, Japanese cuisine, and Japanese cool. The third Hyper Japan will be held in London on February 24, 25, 26 2012.

It really sounds like my cup of tea! :)

You can buy tickets here - let me know if you are going to be there too!

After having a look at who is exhibiting I came across the shop Tofu Cute, which is so "me" - I literally want to buy everything on the website!

I had to restrain myself from buying everything but narrowed it down to a couple of goodies including some lychee pocky sticks (I LOVE lychees!) and...
One of my favourite things is edamame, so I couldn't resist this endless edamame!...

I have been popping to my little hearts content! :)

I can't wait for Saturday now!

OOTD 19/02/12 Featuring Joe Browns

I received an email last week from Katie over a Best British Bloggers asking if I would like to review a product from the Joe Browns Website.

Joe Browns are a company I am very familiar with, having ordered from them in the past, so I jumped at the chance!

I chose a denim jacket from the Joe Browns website. It arrived super quick which was a nice surprise when I got in from work!

I have had my eyes peeled for a denim jacket over the past couple of years but nothing has ever really taken my fancy. But! I think I may have found "the one"...

This is what I wore tonight to my friends bowling birthday...
 Headscarf: Vivienne Westwood
Stripey Top: Ark Clothing
Skinny Jeans: Topshop via eBay
Moccasin Pumps: Primark
I love the distressed detailing on the jacket so it doesn't look totally box fresh/has a vintage look to it!
The jacket has some cute detailing on the arm.
I am over the moon with the denim jacket - it's just perfect for me. I'm looking forward to the weather getting warmer so I can just wear it on it's own over dresses in the Summer! :)
I'm really liking some of Topshop's Make Up at the moment. I'm wearing the "All About Me" lipstick which is lovely and bright.
My head scarf is actually a Vivienne Westwood handkerchief! I bought it in the VW store in Leeds for about £15. They usually have an awesome selection in there, I found it very difficult to just choose one!
Close up detail of the Vivienne Westwood scarf. It has all kinds of weapons all over it, I love how it looks like paisley style from a distance but is really detailed up close. I love it! :)
Close up of shoes - they are so comfy!
Watermelon nails! I did these with some pink Rimmel nail polish, Models Own Nail Art Pens (does anyone know where sells the newer style white version?) and green Barry M nail polish.
I changed into this when I got home as I was feeling poorly and a bit sorry for myself.

Kermit always cheers me up! Have you managed to see the Muppets yet? I was meant to go today but we didn't get enough time. I really can't wait to go see it now! Mahna Mahna!

Disclosure: I was sent this item to review, however my views are impartial and I would not hesitate to order from Joe Browns again.

OOTD 08/02/12 Featuring Accessories Direct

Hello! :)

I had an email from the lovely Susan at Accessories Direct asking if I would like to review one of their bags, so I jumped at the chance!

The bag I chose was the "New York" by Kate Benjamin.

The bag arrived well packaged and beautifully wrapped.
Kate Benjamin Bag: Accessories Direct
Dress: Urban Outfitters
Blazer: H&M
Skull Cameo Brooch: Ebay
Thermal Tights (best things ever!): Primark
Monk Shoe Creepers: Topshop
Close up detail of the bag!

The bag also has a little chain so you can wear it rather than holding it as a clutch.

I like the size of it too - sometimes I find with clutches they are a tiny bit too small for all of my "junk", but this one fits almost everything in (including my camera and clunky inhaler - hooray!)
Close up detail of Topshop Monk Shoes/Brogues/Creepers!

You can find more bags and clutches on the Accessories Direct Website.

I'm totally eyeing up this bag as it looks like it'd be ideal for all of my stuff I carry round with me!

For more information about Accessories Direct you can visit their website:

You can also follow them on facebook or follow them on twitter!

Mini Round-Up 05/02/12

Hello! :)

I thought I'd do a mini round-up of what I've been up to this past couple of weeks - more posts to follow!
My new camera finally arrived! (Canon G12) I'm slowly getting to grips with it but I'm a total n00b, so bear with me...
It was my 27th birthday in the middle of January. I had a lovely time spending it with my boyfriend, family and friends!
I had some yummy food too and a birthday cocktail in Las Iguanas! :)
I went down to London with my Mum for a few days over Chinese New Year and Burns Night (blog post to follow!). I met up with my cousin who'd made some awesome Cranachan Macaroons!
She'd also bought me a veggie haggis as I'd never tried it! Our parents (my Mum, Jane's Dad) are Scottish. I felt like I was letting the family down by not trying it ;)
Last weekend Mr Pinklittlebean took me to Berlin for my birthday! We had a fab time (blog posts to follow!) but couldn't get over how cold it was! I guess it got us prepared for the current UK weather!

I took this picture last night when we took the dog out for a walk in Sheffield.

New Tattoo January 2012

Just over a year ago I finally took the plunge and got my first tattoo.

I decided I wanted to get a new one to make my feet "match" (I like things being symmetrical!)

I thought I'd share some of the pictures I took to show the stages of having it done!

I had the tattoo done by Jim at Thou Art in Sheffield (on Chapel Walk). I would highly recommend Thou Art if you are in Sheffield (or visiting).

I took this last picture when I got home very quickly - I will take one again once it's all healed too!
