Fat Freddys Drop Blackbird Album Release Show Village Underground London June 2013

As I mentioned in my last post, in June I went down to London with my Mum.

The main point of the trip was because we'd managed to get tickets for the Fat Freddy's Drop album release show at Village Underground through the ballot.

This is what I wore for the gig...
Hat: Topshop
Denim Jacket: Topshop
Shirt: Topshop
Skirt: H&M
Bow Pumps: Clothing at Tesco
The venue was really cool and pretty tiny!

There were only 500 tickets available for the show so it was very intimate.
The gig itself was absolutely awesome. It was great to hear new songs from the Blackbird album as well as hearing their older stuff too.
My favourite song from the new album is "Blackbird", I listened to it on repeat for a couple of hours when I downloaded it and didn't even realise/get bored...
Highlights of the gig include them playing Shiverman...

I danced LOTS and had a great time. I can't wait to see them again in Manchester later this year.

If you haven't seen them before (or heard them even) you MUST, I insist!
I found my new favourite beer... How good is the design on the can?!

Have you heard Fat Freddy's Drop before or been to Village Underground?

Trip to London June 2013

In June I went down to London for a couple of days with my Mum...
I love my Mums packed lunches
We went to the Breakfast Club in Shoreditch for lunch as Mum hadn't been before and I loved it there when I visited with my friend Cindy (you can read about it here)!
The juices and smoothies are so good...
I went for the All American Breakfast but changed the sausage for mushrooms... It was amazing (and slightly overwhelming)!
I absolutely love the wallpaper in the loos in the Breakfast Club
The main reason for the trip was to go to the Fat Freddy's Drop album launch show at Village Underground.

It was brilliant! Separate post to follow...
The following day we had a wander around East London and had lunch in Poppies in Spitalfields.
The smell of their fish & chips was far too enticing to just walk past.

I was also quite excited that they sold cream soda!
I ordered the kids portion as I wasn't feeling massively hungry but it was enormous!

It was really good. The batter was lovely and light (I usually end up picking off all the batter if I get fish & chips usually!) and the chips were perfect chip shop chips... I'd definitely go back!
I ordered some bread and butter to share/make chip butties with and it was also massive but so good!

Do you have any favourite haunts to eat at in London?

Berlin Holiday OOTD's...

Hello!

I've been pretty busy again this past few weeks but I've got a few posts scheduled...

As I mentioned in my previous blog post, I went on holiday to Berlin in June to see Queens of the Stone Age.

This is what I wore while I was away...
Dress: H&M
Flip Flops: Havaianas
I actually love the print on this dress... Obviously!
Sunglasses: H&M
Vest: Vans
Shorts: Topshop
Flip Flops: Havaianas
Hat: Topshop
Dress: H&M
Pumps: Deena & Ozzy/Urban Outfitters
Sunglasses: H&M
Vest: Johnny Cupcakes
Shorts: Topshop
Flip Flops: Havaianas
(I took this photo at about 6am after we got in, hence the slightly insane face...)
Vest: Vans
Shorts: Topshop
Flip Flops: Havaianas
Hat: Topshop
T-Shirt: H&M
Skinny Jeans: Topshop
Leopard Print Pumps: H&M

As you can see, I wore pretty similar outfits so have included them all in one post (sponsored by H&M, Topshop and Vans it would appear...!)

We went for 5 days but only took hand luggage which was quite an achievement for me as I'm terrible at packing/packing light!

Do you have any tips for packing?
